Carbon Accounting

An Environmental Resource Center Asset from Graphic Communications

Carbon accounting is the accounting undertaken to measure the amount of carbon dioxide equivalents that will not be released into the atmosphere as a result of flexible mechanisms projects under the Kyoto Protocol. These projects include, but are not limited to, renewable energy projects and biomass, forage and tree plantations.

GC presents organizations like Carbonfund.org that are leading the fight against global warming and making it easy and affordable for any individual, business or organization to reduce and offset their climate impact and hasten the transformation to a clean energy future.

Learn from the resources below what your business can do to reduce its carbon footprint through sensible energy reductions combined with cost-effective carbon offsets. And don’t forget to check out our other environment Web pages.
